General Acute Care Hospital (GACH)/Acute Psychiatric Hospital (APH) Licensure and/or Certification

The Centralized Applications Branch (CAB) is primarily responsible for processing licensing and/or certification applications for health care facilities and providers. Licensed General Acute Care Hospital (GACH) and Acute Psychiatric Hospital (APH) health facilities are required to submit initial, change of ownership, and/or report of change online applications pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 1272, through the California Department of Public Health's online application website (opens in a new tab).
